Luz Night 5K
The course
The 5K starts under the Rua Augusta arch and runs straight up the Baixa grid to Rossio, where the drummers are. Then the climb: past the Santa Justa lift to Largo do Carmo, and on into Chiado for the loudest kilometre of the night.
From Chiado the course drops to the river at Cais do Sodré, turns, and runs back along the Tagus past Ribeira das Naus, out to the Casa dos Bicos and up by the cathedral for a last short climb, then home to the finish arch.
On the night
Four waves start five minutes apart from 21:30. Water at Praça da Figueira and Cais do Sodré; pacers with flags for 25, 30 and 35 minutes.
