Pacers

Run with a flag

Four pacers hold the times most people aim for. Find their flag in the start pen and stay with it.

Meet the pacers
  • Inês Rocha, a runner, in Lisbon at night with a pacer flag

    Inês Rocha

Inês has run the Luz Night 5K every year since the first, and paced it for the last four. She coaches the club's Tuesday intervals on the river.

    Holds: 5K in 25:00

  • Tiago Alves, a runner, in Lisbon at night with a pacer flag

    Tiago Alves

Tiago ran his first race at forty and his fastest at forty-six. He paces the half-hour 5K, and runs the Family 2K with his twins the hour before.

    Holds: 5K in 30:00

  • Marta Sousa, a runner, in Lisbon at night with a pacer flag

    Marta Sousa

    Holds: 5K in 35:00

  • Duarte Lima, a runner, in Lisbon at night with a pacer flag

    Duarte Lima

Duarte grew up in Graça and trains on its stairs. On the Miradouros Hill Run he tells you when to walk, and when not to.

    Holds: Hill Run in 30:00
